Lil' Tigers Karate Ranking
In an effort to help our students who are 7 years old and under learn and retain the material we require for our normal ranking we have broke it down into smaller pieces. Each piece there is a reward such as a new stripe tip for learning half of their kata (form) or a new belt signifying half of the requirement for the next rank has been learned. The system is as such:

White With Black Stripe Belt
The student has learned the
4 basic blocks (High, Middle, Inside & Low Block)
Basic Punch
Front Kick
Horse Stance
(average time to achieve this is about 6 - 8 weeks)
Once the student has achieved this level they will begin on their first kata (form) Kihongata Ichi. When they have learned half of this kata they will received a yellow stripe on their belt. Once the second half of the kata is learned they will receive a second yellow stripe. The 3rd stripe signifies they have accomplished the basic hand positions and turns in their kata and are ready for the next level.
